Radiohead, you should know who they are but if you don't: Wikipedia will tell you. They've made a new album called In Rainbows and are releasing it on a "pay what you want" basis, kind of like how Magnatune does it. You're free to pay absolutely nothing, and apparently about 60% of everyone who downloads the album chooses to do so for free, the rest for an average of about $6.
You can download the album from the In Rainbows website. I've only had it play in the background once, but it seemed like pretty good stuff (if you're into Radiohead's music).
You can either choose the whole album for free, or the box set for the price of a kidney. No brainer.
Or, 60% of people downloading it want to hear it before giving up any money.
Or maybe they're just clicking randomly with their eyes closed so they don't have to see the site design ![]()
I gave up. That site is just weird.
How to get the download (what to click on): Enter, Continue, Download->Order, View Basket, enter a number (like 0 and 0), Pay Now. And then you should be placed in a download queue and then the download should start.
