The night is black as tar, and the rushing waves beckon.

"I hear there's a crew goin' out to look for Crossbone Island..."
"Crossbone Island? I shouldn't be goin' there."
"Well, you aren't, but they are!"
    "What they want out there?"
"Well, I hear whispers...sayin' they got a map, for treasure, for...gold!"
    "Gold!"
"I wish they'd take me on board..."
"Nah, laddie, better not wish that. You're too young to know, but I've known many a sailor, and trust me...Crossbone Island will never give its gold to any of them."
    "How come?"
"Well, this is whispers I hear...and they says that not all of the crew are men, but..."
    "Women?"
"Nay, lad...once men, but long dead, still longing for that gold they never found. So what say, another grog instead of dreaming of lost treasures? Better for you, and much healthier."

Over on the pier, the crew shake their heads. "There goes Ol' Jimmy again, tellin' his tales", one says, and with a healthy laugh (and a few closer looks sneaked at crew mates) the ship is boarded and sets sail towards the open sea.

    Crew
    Araltaln
    Locxa
    Armana
    La Paloma

    Definitely Dead Crew
Haug - Tom 'The Rope' McKean (Blocker) - stabbed to death, Night 1
Carmine - Stinkfoot George (Zombie Pirate) - lynched, Day 1
Amata - One Eye Willie (Cop) - severely scratched and obviously braindead, Night 2
    T - Creakin' Petey (SK) - lynched, Day 2
Jelnor (replacing Alluric) - Peg-leg Peter (Proper Pirate) - stabbed to death, Night 3
tick - Reeking Rob the Greedy (Zombie Pirate GF) - lynched, Day 3

    It is OVER.

    Start of Day 2
    Start of Day 3

You all wake up in the morning to find the dead body of Tom 'The Rope' McKean (Haug) lying on the floor boards. It seems he has been stabbed in several places and bled to death, despite his strength. In his short stay on board, Haug had been able to block doors thanks to his large size and huge amount of muscles.

A bit annoyed about losing such a useful lad for putting the sails up and other hard work, you nevertheless try to keep the ship going as well as figuring out who is responsible for the mess.

With nine crew members sort of alive, 5 are needed for a good keelhauling.

    Arrr! We be setting sails.

It's bad luck to lose a townie with a role first night though... :( Suppose it's nothing some grog won't fix.

We lost a blocker? Bad tootin' luck.

'With 9 crew numbers _sort of_ alive' sounds a bit odd.

Right lads, look lively an' mebbe we can root out these traitors rogues an' mutineers among us sharper than it took us to hoist sail - beggin' the Capt'n's pardon but I grows restless when we's becalmed, d'ye see?

So's I vote Armana be the one we puts to the question, seein' as I'm standin' next to 'er.

Checking in, ahoy! Looks like we lost a blocker then, which sucks.

As a brief warning, I can only access the intarweb from work except when I am visiting people (we are living in a hotel at the moment whilst our house is being fixed) so don't expect much response from me at weekends or in UK evenings.

I will randomly Vote: Locxa - welcome to mafia :)

Hi Colonic: In a game run by Carmine, with 9 people, how many killing groups would you expect there to be? Mono: 10

Just to append to Carmine's brief warning: I have just had to book an ASAP flight, flying to the other side of the world on Wednesday, meaning change of timezones, lack of computer for indefinite time, etc. I should still be able to post though, but if I disappear, I'll try to leave y'all with a warning.

i'm here! but alas the blocker he be in davy jones locker.

i will vote T for putting somenoe on 2 votes 5 posts into the game, someone with limited mafia experience none the less.

I believe we are waiting on alruic, armana and araltaln... anyone notice something fishy about those names

as for the "sort of alive"... i assume this is taking into account who ever the mafia is, so i reckon they are either ghost pirates or some kind of zombie pirate, or perhaps some sort of hybrid ninja zombie monkey ghost pirate.

Can't really ask for a sig and then not have one now, can i?

Argh, no energy for piratespeak today, so just saying I'm here - had to pick up the kid from Christmas break.

I'd wager the "mostly alive" relates to the opening blurb.

    Posted By: Opening scene

once men, but long dead, still longing for that gold they never found.

    but that's just a guess.

I was going to vote tick for forgetting me on the list of non-posters (I'm oh-so easily offended, dontchaknow.) But he's already got one, so no go.

So I will vote La Paloma for somehow finding a hot pirate avatar with blue hair. I say you're either an 80-year-old lady with a bad dye job or not human at all! Either way, not normal for a ship, yar!

    ~A~
    Probably avatarless

Yes, I'd agree that's the most likely situation.

yeah, that seems right...so ghosts or zombie pirates, i guess it isn't really important which.

    soo..araltaln and alluric to come.

Unvote: Locxa. Whilst day 1 will almost inevitably be a random (or random-esque) bandwagon unless anyone is willing to confess this early, I think a page 1 random-esque bandwagon is a bit too early.

I agree with the idea that it's some sort of undead action, but I hope that doesn't mean we're dealing with some sort of recruitment cult-type scenario because they make me sad.

Only one death so currently I am also hoping that we're just dealing with one killer as opposed to one successful killer and one failed.

(All that aside - Amata, my avatar's taken from ZePirates - a not terribly interesting Beat-People-Up online game from France, but it does have great eye-candy, in a sort of French-Anime style. Highly reccomended for hunting for cartoony pirate pictures. Enjoy! :D)

Right, I exist, but my existance will be sporadic for another week or so tops. After that things should have settled down enough that I'll be around more regularly.

I'm kind of peering suspiciously at the multiple stab wounds thing; since this is a Feloris game, I'm not terribly inclined to read that much into it, but that does sound a bit more like the action of a psycopath (read: SK) than it does the work of undead pirates. *worries*
