Crisis has come to Looking Glass Land. All seemed to be going so well, but recently, pieces haven't been turning up to the game but have been turning up dead! Why, the first to go was the Red Knight, and he'd always been such a well-mannered sort.

Nobody seems to know what's going on, but with a dwindling number of people left with enough sense to try and work it out, it was finally decided that the best way would be to gather together and have some constructive discussions to work out who might be behind all this dreadfulness, and then deal with them appropriately (send them off to the previous book and the Queen of Hearts, maybe).

Who's idea was it to hold the meeting in the Wood Where Things Have No Names? Nobody can remember. And nobody can remember anyone else's name by day, either. How inconvenient.

Alive and Well in Looking Glass Land: 3/12
    9. Tick - The Jabberwock, Serial Killer, WINNER!

Presumed Dead in Wonderland / Actually Dead in Looking Glass Land: 9/12
    8. Haug - Haigha the Messenger, Townie, lynched Day 1
    10. Feloris - The Unicorn, "Hunter" - able to kill someone else when killed, bitten and clawed to death Night 2
    4. Dubya - Red Queen, Mafia, lynched Day 2
    12. Locxa - Queen Alice, Mafia, bitten and clawed to death Night 3
    2. Daegul - White Knight, Inventor, bitten and clawed to death Night 4
    7. Serenity - Tweedledum, Townie, stabbed Night 4
    6. Lacero - The Lion, Townie, lynched Day 4
    3. Etain (replacing Alluric) - Humpty Dumpty, Doctor, stabbed Night 5
    11. Hi Colonic - The Gnat, townie, bitten and clawed to death Night 6
    1. Mono - The White Queen, mafia sibling, bitten and clawed to death Night 7
    5. Wallsy - The White King, cop sibling, killed himself through grief, Night 7

    Game Status: Game Over!

Hi Colonic: In a game run by Carmine, with 9 people, how many killing groups would you expect there to be? Mono: 10

    The Rules:
    * The standard rules apply. Make sure you know them.
    * Lynchings take place with a majority of votes... maybe. Do not assume someone has been lynched until I say so.
    * All votes must be made in bold.
    * If you have any questions, contact me directly or put them in the thread in bold. I will always respond via PM, although not necessarily with the answer you were hoping for ;)
    * You may quote PMs from me. This includes the PMs that contain your role!

I am away on a course starting today for a week. I don't know if I will have internet access whilst I am gone. I am setting a deadline for night 1 for next Saturday, midday BST. If I get choices in before then and have 'net access on the course I will start the day earlier :)

Another day in Looking Glass Land!

You all gradually congregate in a convenient clearing within the Forest Where Things Have No Names, bleary eyed and a little confused. A quick head count shows twelve people have turned out for the meeting... the same number as yesterday! Perhaps the crisis has been averted!

    Or perhaps not.

    It is Day!

Huzzah! No dead people (well, except for the Red Knight etc)! Well, I'm here.

I should point out that I am going on holiday on Wednesday, with probably limited net access, but I think enough to play.

I am here. It's very odd no one has died.

If I see anyone looking absent I'll be even more inclined to lynch them than usual, given the small possibility that the mafia (or SK) didn't send in a night action.

    go them! if they did

The long night was fore-warned by carmine so that may not be a pointer to mafia being absent and that leading to the no-kill.

But i'm usually more inclined to want to lynch people who go absent for long periods in any game.

All this business about vote counts not being final necessarily makes things interesting, but as with most things we can discuss what it could mean til the cows come home but we won't know until it happens, not that we shouldn't talk about it.

Can't really ask for a sig and then not have one now, can i?

No-one is dead? That's a nice suprise to wake-up to. Now if we could just all remember who we are...

I agree with tick, as it was such a long night, I very much doubt that choices were not sent in, but of course we can take nothing for granted.

Drat! I guess to deflect attention I'll just have to random vote feloris. Let's hope it works! :D

And I thought I'd only get votes after I put my own so called "lurking excuse" in. :P
Fact is, however, that I'll be away from Thursday to Sunday this coming week, with no net access whatsoever, doing the one small summer job I managed to get. So don't kill me, please?

Anyway, I think one week (with lots of forewarning that the game would start soon) should have been enough time for choices to be put in...unless we have exceptionally lazy mafia, and in that case we would notice soon enough who doesn't post at all, right? ;)

Dammit! I knew it was a risky gambit. :)

What I'm guessing it means is that there are a fair number of small roles out there.
Metagame wise, I think this would fit with the type of game Carmine would write - I really can't imagine her being satisfied modding a vanilla game.

Who's left to post? I make it:
    Alluric,
    Dubya,
    Wallsy,
    Hi Colonic.

Let's hear something from you guys! :)

Those four are probably the no-choice-sent mafia we're looking for. ;)

Anyway, I guess I can agree with Daegul here, Carmine would probably not present us with a plain 3 mafia, one SK, traditional doc and cop setup. Which means we should probably not be too hasty with assumptions, and that we will have to do quite a bit of thinking and proper listening (ie reading) to find our way through all this (more than usual that is).

Yeah, with what I remember from Carmine's past games (none of which I was in (unfortunately)) they all had some Special things. I think someone told be she once ran a game where everyone was evil (or no one was, one of the two). So, yes, assumptions here would probably make an ass out of you and Mr M. P. Tions!

So you failed to kill one because you cuddled all? Aha! A confession!

Vote no one because it's still early yet in the game.

In any case, I'm going to vote Dubya for refusing to vote.
